Autocharge is a simple way to charge your EV automatically. Connect the charging cable between the charging station and the car, and Enua does the rest. We recognise the car, authorise it and start charging — fully automatically. You don’t need to do anything.
We’ve built Autocharge into Enua Charge and Charge E. No third-party solutions, and nothing that needs to be installed on the car.
Put the charging cable into the charging station and the car, just like usual.
Enua reads the car’s unique ID and checks it against your account.
If the car is registered to the account, it starts charging automatically. In the Enua app, a purple banner appears at the top showing which car is charging.
No app, no RFID tag, no QR code. You plug in, and charging starts by itself.
The car is linked to your account, not to one specific charger. Autocharge works on every charging station your account is linked to — the car is recognised automatically every time you plug in.
Authorisation happens before the car starts charging. Charging begins as soon as the car is approved.
Autocharge is included. No extra cost.
Autocharge functionality can be activated. Prices are shown in the Enua app or in our price overview — just click here. Prices may vary between countries.
Autocharge is supported by a growing number of EVs. When you plug your car into an Enua charging station, the Enua app automatically checks whether it’s compatible. You get an answer right away.
If your car isn’t supported yet, you charge as before with the app or an RFID tag.
Open Autocharge in the Enua app and accept the terms.
Connect the car to your Enua charging station. Enua checks whether the car is supported.
Add the car with make, model, model year and registration number — a nickname is optional. Next time, charging starts automatically and consumption is registered to the connected car.
Each car also gets its own virtual Autocharge ID in the Enua app. Copy it and register it with your charging operator (CPO) — just like a physical RFID tag. Charging sessions are then automatically linked to the car with them. Useful for housing-association billing and reimbursement of home charging with a company car.
Download the Enua app and set up Autocharge whenever you’re ready.
Autocharge is an EV charging feature that lets the car identify itself automatically when you plug it into a charging station. That means you don’t need an RFID tag, app or card to start charging.
You use the Enua app to set up Autocharge once. After that, charging starts automatically when you plug in. You don’t need to open the app to start charging.

No. Plug and Charge is a certificate-based standard (ISO 15118) that requires setup in the car. Autocharge recognises the car by its network ID and requires nothing installed on the car.

Yes. Each car gets a virtual Autocharge ID in the Enua app that you can register with your charging operator (CPO) as an RFID tag. The charging sessions are then logged automatically with them — useful for housing-association billing and reimbursement of home charging with a company car. This requires the operator to support manual RFID registration.
